Help young adults grow into their future
SNAP would like to have a program that involves a house, a worker and a car. This house would support people who have just turned 18 and have been released from facts care and have not qualified for disability support or are in the process of being evaluated for their support package.
These young adults are sometimes doing really well at school and/or working however with the issues going on at home with major upheavals and no one really to turn to, we see these young adults make poor decisions often turning to drugs or alcohol. Hanging with the wrong crowds sometimes leading to trouble with the law or even jail.
At these crossroads in their life SNAP would like to fund a house that can support these young people through their transition in adult life, SNAP house can support the young person deal with the stresses of starting UNI, finding employment the things that lead to a productive and successful life.
Our goal for this program is to support people who have just turned 18 and have been released from care and have not qualified for disability support.
